Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Look Nothing Short of ROYAL In Their Delhi Reception

After a hush-hush (nothing short of a) fairytale wedding in Tuscany, Italy, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma threw a grand reception at Taj Diplomatic Enclave held on December 21, 2017. The reception was said to be attended by the bigwigs of the capital, including PM Shri Narendra Modi.

Cricketer Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan and popular punjabi singer Gurdas Mann also attended the event.

The Delhi reception looked much like a traditional affair for the newly weds. Both Anushka & Virat (popularly known as #Virushka) looked nothing short of a regal couple styled beautifully. They were dressed in Sabyasachi ensembles for the reception night, complemented each other perfectly.

Anushka donned a breathtaking red & gold Benarasi Saree by infamous designer Sabyasachi. She accessorized her look with uncut diamond choker and jhumkas from Sabyasachi’s bridal jewellery collection, a red bindi and sindoor. Anushka completed her look with a neatly-tied bun encircled in a mogra gajra.  I think that the makeup was perfect for the occassion and with that infectious smile, what can go wrong! ?

While you would see all newly-weds sporting lehengas these days, kudos to Anushka for choosing a traditional saree.

On the other hand, Virat appeared dapper in a black achkan and hand woven silk churidaar. It was a textured silk signature bandhgala with the house buttons in 18k gold. Virat completed his look with mojris (footwear) from Sabyasachi accessories line and teamed his bandhgala with a hand-embroidered antique Pashmina shawl with golden border from the designer’s ‘Kashmir Revival’ project.

Both Virat and Anushka looked like a royal Indian couple in their Indian attires.

The two will be hosting another bash in Mumbai on December 26, where the who’s who of the Hindi film industry and Team India is expected to attend the party.

What do you guys think of their traditional avatar? Yay or Nay!?
